Superintendent's Message

Dear United Local Parents and Community,

As we head toward the endemic phase of Covid-19, I would like to personally thank our community, families, and students for their cooperation and patience during these difficult times. It was two years ago that we were ordered to be shut down and begin remote learning. During this time our staff, students, and families have had to adjust to numerous changes in protocols and regulations all while having the goal of supporting the children in the district in their learning goals.

As we move forward, It is important for us to understand the changing needs of parents and students as we emerge from the pandemic, and to engage with them to support students to learn and to thrive. With that broad goal in mind, we have set the following priorities:

  1. We will continue to safely reopen school and commit to continued response to changing protocols and to in-person learning whenever possible.

  2. Reengage and reenroll students into effective learning environments.

  3. Support students in recovering unfinished learning and their broader needs.

  4. Recommit and reimagine our education systems for the long term.

I look forward to your continued support and promise to work toward the vision that every graduate of the United Local School District be prepared for further Education, Employed in a productive career, Enlisted in the military, or involved in their own Entrepreneurial pursuits. #FindYourE
