If you are interested in taking College classes next year, please make sure that you pick up an Intent Form from the guidance office (Available after Christmas Break) and return it to Mrs. Muniz ASAP! College application days will start in March!
*Mrs. Muniz also holds a CCP Parent Information night in December. If you or your student is planning to or considering participating in College Credit Plus, please plan to attend this meeting. If you are planning to take College Credit Plus classes either at United Local or at Kent State Salem, an intent to participate form MUST be completed and returned to the guidance office by March 30, 2021. If you are a student in grades 7-12 you can apply for College Credit Plus admission to a public or participating private college. The college will admit you based on your college-readiness in one or more subject areas. Please see Mrs. Muniz to help you understand your options, deadlines, and how to proceed. You may not participate in the College Credit Plus program beyond your anticipated high school graduation date.
Please keep in mind that a school district or nonpublic school may seek reimbursement under the following two circumstances:
1) If the student receives a failing grade at the end of the college course; or 2) If the student withdraws from or drops the college course subsequent to the 14th calendar day after the particular course began.
*Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3365.09(A), a district may seek reimbursement from a student or parent if the student fails to attain a passing final grade.
