Mr. Hostetler, Superintendent

Welcome to United!

Dear Friends of United Local Schools:

Serving as Superintendent of United Local Schools is a very exciting and very humbling opportunity. As an educator and administrator for over 20 years, I have had the opportunity to work in various settings including rural, suburban, and urban districts. There is no doubt that United Local is ready to offer exactly what every child needs to grow and to take on new challenges. I understand the tremendous responsibility that this job entails and I look forward to working with everyone to build a world class school district that enables students to prepare for successful futures.

One of my greatest beliefs is that all children can learn if given the right educational environment. We will work to create an environment that is open, positive, enriching and where everyone feels welcome. Seeking feedback and input will be one of the cornerstones that I build my tenure on. One of my first commitments is to get to know you. I want to immerse myself into the community and acquire the knowledge and insight of both community members and staff.

The children of United Local and their future will be the focus of this administration. As a district, we have the capability to provide wonderful educational experiences for all our students and to help the community. The Board of Education and I will work daily on this commitment. Thank you for the opportunity to be your new superintendent. I look forward to a long and successful partnership.

Lance Hostetler,
