Mr. Hicklin's Physical Science students designed and constructed model roller coasters using foam tubing, marbles, and tape as a way to better understand how potential and kinetic energy work. Once their roller coasters were complete, students recorded data (marble mass, track measurements, and time from start to finish) to calculate and compare potential and kinetic energy.
