PE Waiver 

Beginning with the 2019-20 school year and under allowances provided in ORC 3313.603, United Local High School students (9-12) may apply for a Physical Education Waiver, excusing qualified students from the physical education requirement for graduation. To qualify, a student in grades nine through twelve must have successfully completed two seasons of interscholastic athletics, marching band, or cheerleading. Students completing two seasons in any combination of the these activities are eligible to apply for the Phys. Ed. Waiver. This waiver does not grant a grade nor a credit for successfully completing two seasons of the mentioned activities.  If the Waiver is used for the required ½ credit of Phys. Ed., the student will still need a total of 21 credits to graduate from United Local High School. This form needs to be completed and signed immediately following the completion of the two activities. Should a student become injured or not complete the season for ANY reason, he/she must find an alternate way to satisfy the Phys. Ed. Requirement. Participation in United Local athletics, marching band, or cheerleading prior to the 2019-2020 school year cannot not apply.  See your guidance counselor or principal if you have questions.
