United Community Scholarship Foundation Scholarships DUE: 3/1/25
Each year, the United Community Scholarship Foundation awards thousands of dollars to students graduating from United Local High School.
Scholarships are available in (4) areas: Academics Scholarships, Fine or Performing Arts Scholarships, General Scholarships, and Technical/Career Related Scholarships.
Online Applications must be submitted online using this link by March 1st. Applications will not be accepted after this date.
United High School- Local Scholarships DUE: 4/1/25
Only seniors graduating from United High School are eligible for these scholarships.

Hicks & Hayseeds 4H Scholarship DUE: 5/14/25
Criteria:
Must be a senior at United Local High School or a graduate of United Local that is currently a college freshman
Must have been a 4H member for the past 4 years
Must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher
United Athletic Booster Scholarship DUE: 4/22/25
This scholarship is got United Local Athletes.

Salem Saxon Scholarship DUE: 6/1/25
Criteria
Applied toward tuition at an accredited college, university, or vocational school
At least a 3.2 cumulative GPA
The scholarship shall be awarded upon scholarship, leadership, extracurricular activities and community service.
United Gridiron Club Cheer Scholarship DUE: 4/1/25
Must have a 2.5 minimum GPA
Must be a senior football cheerleader at United Local High School
Must attend a college, university, or vocational/trade school in the first term following high school graduation

Robert Garrett Memorial Scholarship DUE: 4/1/25
Criteria and Eligibility
ANY United Local High School graduate who has a defined goal upon graduation can apply. This includes college plans, military, beginning a career/job, personal goals and/or aspirations. You are not required to attend college to receive this scholarship!
NO GPA requirement.
Kim and Ashley Bergman Memorial Scholarship DUE: 4/7/25
This scholarship is intended for student athletes who have the intention of continuing their education through a college, university or vocational school.
Hall of Fame Central Labor Council Scholarship DUE: 6/13/25
For graduating seniors whose parents/guardians are a member of one of the local unions affiliated and in good standing with Hall of Fame Central Labor Council.

Col. County Dairy Booster Scholarship DUE: 4/5/25
Criteria and Eligibility
The applicant must be a member of a Columbiana County family whose primary occupation is directly involved in the Dairy Industry, including but not limited to: Dairy Cattle Milk Production, Dairy Cattle Heifer Raising, and Dairy Equipment/Supplies/Supplement Sales (providing Dairy is the primary focus of Sales).
Student must prove enrollment, or submit a letter of admission, to a two or four year institution of higher learning or graduate school.
Those applying are not required to limit their educational choice to an agricultural related field.
Student must be considered a full-time student.
Applicant must maintain at least a B or 3.0 grade point average.
Previous scholarship recipients may not reapply.
West Township Ruritan Scholarship DUE: 4/11/25

Salem Italian-American Education Fund Scholarship DUE: 4/21/25
Committee looks at GPA, ACT score, and brief essay.
Preference will be given to applicants of Italian decent.
American Association of Drilling Engineers Appalachian Chapter DUE: 4/25/25
Graduate from High School with a GPA or GPR of 3.5 or above
Scored at least a composite 27 on the ACT, or scored at least a minimum 600 in Math and 600 in Critical Reading on the SAT.
Be enrolled in an accredited college in Pennsylvania, Ohio or West Virginia

Stark State Choose Ohio First Scholarship
To be eligible to receive an ODHE Choose Ohio First scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:
be enrolled in a qualifying, science, technology, engineering, math or medical program of study (see list of ODHE Choose Ohio First approved programs)

Lowell Iden- Larry Iler Scholarship DUE: 6/1/25
Eligibility Criteria
Must be eligible for graduation as a high school senior, or a student in good standing if currently enrolled in college.
The type of further education selected may be junior college or vocational trade school.
The selection of this award will be based on school records, future plans, motivation, leadership, financial need, and commitment to the outdoor sports and major in the field of study in agriculture. biology, wildlife, conservation or environmental science.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be a grange member or have grange involvement. Mile Branch Grange #933 members will be given priority.

Must establish financial need.
Edward J. DeBartolo Scholarship DUE: 4/14/25
Awards are based on financial need, community service, and academics.

Col. County Federation of Conservation Clubs Scholarship DUE: 4/18/25
Eligibility Criteria
Students planning to attend, or currently enrolled in a university, college, technical school, or certificate program
Must be a resident of Columbiana County or an adjacent county.
Students pursuing careers specific to natural resources conservation as indicated above.
Medical Mutual Scholarship Fund DUE: 3/15/25 by 5pm
Seniors graduating from Ohio school districts that carry Medical Mutual insurance or use Mutual Health Services for claims administration are now eligible to apply online for a one-time $1,000 scholarship toward college tuition.
Additionally, six top applicants across the state will receive a $10,000 award for their outstanding academic and community service efforts.
Hagan Scholarship DUE: 3/15/25
Must attend an Eligible Public High School.
Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
Must enroll at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation.
Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college.
Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until September 1, 2025.
Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for Federal Income Tax Purposes must not exceed $100,000.
Dream.. Innovate..Grow Scholarship DUE: 3/3/25 by 3pm
Criteria and Eligibility
Permanent resident status in Western PA or Eastern Ohio
Cumulative grade point average of 3.0
Performed with distinction in terms of leadership, volunteerism, character, and positive attitude.
Signified the intention to continue academic work beyond the high school level.
Been accepted as a full-time student at a college, university, or trade school for the upcoming fall semester.
Lisbon Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship DUE: 3/7/25
Must be a Senior
Minimum of 3.25 GPA
Submit application, 3 letters of recommendation, and essay by deadline.
Pursuing further education in a recognized related field in business and plans to give back to the community.
Salem Elks Scholarship DUE: 3/23/25
Local scholarships will be in the amount of $500.
Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development DUE: 5/1/25
Criteria and Eligibility
Be a resident of the 30-county COAD service area for at least one year before the application deadline.
Reside in a household with a total annual income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Have obtained or will obtain a high school degree or GED.
Show proof of acceptance by an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution of higher education.
Tom Holden Memorial Scholarship DUE: 3/3/25 @ 5am
Criteria and Eligibility
Students must write a commercial script for a local nonprofit organization on the list provided (click here for a complete list). They must follow all instructions on the form below to submit their entry.
Students must submit a written script for a :30 commercial for their selected organization which will be scored based on their creativity and original idea.
Ohio Natural Energy Scholarship DUE: 3/1/25
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must have a career goal in the natural gas and oil industry.
Must be an Ohio resident
Must have and maintained a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Dr. James J. Thomas Scholarship DUE: 3/21/25 at 3pm

The NAWIC Founders’ Scholarship Foundation Construction Trades Scholarship DUE: 2/28/25
Applicant must be currently enrolled in a construction-related training program which is approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training, community college, technical school or equivalent. High school seniors are eligible.
Applicant must be obtaining training in a construction-related craft or trade.
To be considered, the Application and all attachments must be complete and received via email by February 28th for the next following academic year. If your school only mails transcripts, please email NFSF (nfsf@nawic.org) for the address to mail the transcripts to. Official sealed transcripts must also be received no later than February 28th. THIS DEADLINE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED.
Foundation for Appalachian Ohio DUE: 2/14/25

Ohio Forestry Memorial Scholarship DUE: 4/15/25
Must be an Ohio Resident
Accepted for admission in to a college/university/technical school planning to study forest resource education.
The Grand Lodge of Masons of Ohio Scholarship DUE: 3/1/25
They award three $1500 scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to attend college
Along with the application, they will need the applicant to complete a 2024-2025 FAFSA form and know their Expected Family Contribution, a transcript submitted by a Guidance Counselor, and a Letter of Recommendation.

Criteria and Eligibility
Applicant must attend United Local High School
Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award.

Applicant must demonstrate academic excellence, extra-curricular activity, community service and
engagement, and the pursuit of higher education.Preference is given to those pursuing a career in education or social services and/or those who would be first-generation college students.
OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship Due: 3/1/25
Criteria and Eligibility
The OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship Program is available to children whose parent or legal guardian is a member in good standing of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE/AFSCME Local 4/AFL-CIO).
Any graduating high school senior who is a daughter or son of an active OAPSE/AFSCME member or whose legal guardian is an active OAPSE/AFSCME member and who intends to enroll in a full-time degree program in any two (2) or four (4) year accredited university, college, business or technical school is eligible to apply for a scholarship.
Crystal Lake Scholarship Due: 3/1/25

Farm Credit Mid-America Scholarship DUE: 1/15/25
Customer Scholarship
Available to the children or grandchildren of Farm Credit Mid-America customers pursuing careers related to agriculture or rural communities.
Ohio FFA Foundation Scholarships Due: 2/1/25

General applicant requirements:
Must be a current Ohio FFA member
Must be a current high school senior or college freshman (at the time of application)
Must major in an agricultural related field of study. See the List of Approved Majors document.
Must have a minimum of 2.7 cumulative GPA

7 17 Credit Union Scholarships Due: 3/5/25
University-Based Merit Scholarships
Youngstown State University, Kent State University-Main Campus, Kent State University Branches (one scholarship to be awarded from applicants to Trumbull, Salem, or Stark Branch Campuses), and the University of Akron. Applicants must have an account with 7 17 or be the legal dependent of a 7 17 Member. Recipients will be chosen by the financial aid departments of the respective universities based on the applicant’s grade point average, school and community involvement, and letters of recommendation.
Credit Spirit Scholarships
These scholarships are university-specific and apply to the same universities as the University-based Merit Scholarships (Youngstown State University, Kent State University-Main Campus, Kent State University Branches, and the University of Akron). They are also selected by the financial aid departments of the respective universities, but take financial need into account along with minimum merit requirements. Applicants for the Credit Union Spirit Scholarships are not required to be Members of 7 17 at the time of application, but must become a Member to receive the scholarship.
Cha-Ching Teen Club Scholarships
Two cha-ching℠ Teen Club scholarships are available for any post-secondary education, e.g., any accredited university or trade school. Applicants must be Members of the 7 17 cha-ching℠ Teen Club. Recipients will be selected based on response to an essay question.
The edge Scholarships
7 17 offers two scholarships to 7 17 Members between the ages of 18 and 25, who have the edge℠ account, and pursuing a post-secondary education at any accredited trade school or university. Recipients will be selected based on response to an essay question.
