Mr. Leitza has been coaching for multiple years after having a college wrestling career. He is very busy coaching the boys and girls wrestling teams. He does not particularly like coaching one more than the other. After wrestling in college and loving the sport he decided he wanted to coach.
After the girls tournament on December 8th, the entire team earned 3rd place overall. Lucy Stout placed 1st in her weight class while Austin Brown, Maggie Cope, Taylor Balint, Natalie Shipley and Hadley Brereton received 2nd in their respected weight class. Allison Neff placed 5th in her class .
Mr. Leitza’s hobbies include golfing and coaching while coaching is his passion. Mr. Leitza’s advice to young wrestlers is to encourage them to try the sport because it develops toughness and perseverance.
