United Elementary School recently welcomed a special guest, Outback Ray for an exciting and educational live animal presentation that captivated students and staff alike. The interactive assembly featured a variety of animals from around the world, providing students with a unique, hands-on learning experience.
During the presentation, students had the opportunity to see—and in many cases, touch—an array of fascinating animals, including a chinchilla, rabbit, armadillo, snakes, turtle, and lizard. A few lucky students were even selected to assist during the show, creating memorable, up-close encounters that brought science concepts to life.
Outback Ray’s engaging style combines humor, storytelling, and education, teaching students about animal habitats, adaptations, and the importance of respecting wildlife. The presentation not only sparked curiosity, but also reinforced classroom learning in a fun and meaningful way.
This special event served as a reward for students who have consistently demonstrated positive behavior through United Elementary’s SOAR initiative. SOAR—an acronym for being Safe, Organized, Accountable, and Respectful—is a core part of the school’s commitment to fostering a positive culture and climate. Through this system, students earn recognition for making responsible choices and contributing to a supportive learning environment.
By connecting engaging incentives like the Outback Ray show to behavioral expectations, United Elementary continues to promote both academic growth and character development. Events like this not only celebrate student success but also strengthen the school community by creating shared experiences that students will remember for years to come.
United Elementary remains dedicated to providing innovative opportunities that inspire learning, reward positive behavior, and support the whole child.
