Reminder to United Local Parents and Students about Christmas Break 2025:

There will be no school starting on Monday, December 22, 2025 and continuing through Friday, January 2, 2026.

School will resume for both staff and students on Monday, January 5, 2026.

A Tribute Service to honor the life of Jason Swiger will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 12:30 PM at the Salem High School Auditorium, 1200 E. 6th St., Salem, OH 44460 (Please use the F.E. Cope Drive entrance of the school parking lot).

United Local School District's students (past and present) and staff were truly blessed to have known Mr. Swiger. He will be deeply missed.

The Class of 2028 would like to thank Myers Family Insurance for generously sponsoring our Breakfast with Santa 🧑‍🎄🎄. We are also grateful to all of the students and families who attended. We wish everyone a very safe and Merry Christmas! We look forward to making this a yearly tradition and hope you will join us for the festivities again next year.

Carols and Cocoa concert is tonight in the cafeteria at 7pm. Tickets are $5 at the door. Ticket includes hot cocoa/cookies. The United Jazz Band and Flight Show Choir will be performing some of your favorite Christmas songs. Parking is available in the new lot. Please use door A near the high school office. Handicap parking is still available on the curb below the cafeteria with entry through door J. Come hear some very talented United students perform before we start Christmas break!

United Local Student Initiative Club is hosting a Christmas Movie Night on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Please see flyer for more details.

United Local Schools will stay with a two-hour delay today, December 15th. Morning preschool is cancelled.

United Local will start on a two-hour delay tomorrow. Depending on road conditions in the morning, that could change to a closing. We will notify parents as soon as we make that decision.

Remembering Jason Swiger

Jake Sommer’s Drum Clinic MOVED TO TOMORROW DECEMBER 14th DUE TO WEATHER. Event will still take place at 7pm in United HS Gym. Stay safe!

Congratulations to all of the United Bands grades 5-12 on your excellent performances on Sunday, December 7th to a packed house! Thank you for sharing your talents with the United Community and all the awesome people who came to hear you.
The Jazz band will perform in the High School Cafeteria for Carols Cocoa on Wednesday, December 17th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5 and will include your favorite cookies and hot chocolate. Performances include the United Jazz Band and United Show Choir. Come out to hear some of your favorite Christmas songs!

Jake Sommers Drum Clinic is this Saturday December 13 at 7pm in the United High School Gym. This event is free and open to the public. Jake is the drummer for Luke Combs. This event has been sponsored by the Salem Music Centre and will include free giveaways and raffles of music memorabilia.
