
Mrs. Shepard's young United Eagle 2nd graders learned so much on the annual Nature Trail Exploration day. Stations were led by Mrs. Cooper and her HS science students. They did an AMAZING job! Many thanks to all of them!!



Second Grade Field Day Fun!











This week, Mrs. Garn's friends invited a special lady to come join them for lunch. We all had a great time visiting and celebrating these special ladies and all they do for us!





Today Mrs. Marshall's first grade friends had their Special Lady Picnic! It was absolutely amazing and we all had a wonderful time! Thank you to all the Special Ladies for taking time to come have lunch with us, your all so appreciated!









The ULE Kickball Tournament Championship games were played today. The results are, 5th Grade- Kober won 9-5 over Leitza, 4th Grade- Bezon won a close game 13-10 against Walkama, and in 3rd Grade- Kadvan won 8-1 over Grimm. Congratulations to the 2023 Champs: Kober, Bezon, and Kadvan. All the kids had fun, played hard, and made some great memories. Enjoy the pictures. Thanks to all the 5th grade umpires, scorekeepers, teachers, and students for making this week successful.







In STEAM Class this week kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students worked as teams to engineer a bubble wand that could blow the biggest bubble. They then got a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and try out their designs.










We are finally breaking ground! Please join us Saturday, May 20th at 1 PM for our celebration and pictures. Immediately following will be a community memorial service in the middle school gymnasium. We look forward to a fantastic day!


The ULE Kickball Tournament Day 3 Results: 5th Grade- Phillips won 18-5 over Deville, 4th Grade- Malone won a close game 14-13 against White, and 3rd Grade- Spillman won 17-3 over Wilmoth. The winners from today took 3rd place and their opponents took 4th place in the tournament. Friday's match up will determine 1st and 2nd place finishers. Great job everyone.

Today the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders used their creativity and teamwork to engineer signs to use at their Kickball Tournament. The students are all excited and ready for the final rounds later this week. Great job today kids and good luck to all teams.





United students are shown explaining the new hydroponic growing project. The towers were purchased to grow lettuce and other vegetables for the cafeteria and Life Skills classes with a grant from the Columbiana County Health Department. As students learn, they are then able to teach and connect with other students and our community. We're all looking forward to the harvest!

Recently, the ULE Young Eagles Mentoring Program celebrated this years growth by wearing their new shirts and enjoying donuts. The students covered goal setting and share some of their short-term summer goals. Thanks kids for a great year!

Attention to our Elementary Parents: We will be having our fifth of five no face-to-face learning days tomorrow 5/9/23 for students in Kindergarten and First Grade. Students have learning packets coming home today to complete.


Public Town Hall Meeting!
Our NOPEC representative, John Zehentbauer will meet with the community at 6pm, Monday, May 8th in the United School auditorium to clarify and answer questions regarding the letters we all recently received and decisions we must make. All are welcome.
