Yesterday 5th grade students participated in Lemonade Day! Over the course of the last three weeks, students learned about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and run a business. They then created a company and designed, created, and marketed their lemonade to fellow elementary students. Yesterday students set up shop and sold their lemonade. We are proud to say that they raise $1329 for the United Food Pantry / Backpack program!
Just a few stats from the day: the 5th grade students served 1,200 cups, 112 total gallons, and did this all in a four hour time span!

Mrs. Barkley's class had a wonderful time at our carnival this week! The petting zoo was phenomenal and so were the other fun events! The bounce house was a big hit! we even got to sunk Mrs. Sigler in the dunk tank!

Every year, students in Mrs. Leitza's Literacy classes are challenged to read 40 books over the course of the year to finish the 40 Book Challenge. This year, we had 17 students who completed the challenge! We celebrated today with a pizza party. Way to go!

2nd graders put on our annual Bookapalooza this morning! Students chose a favorite book to represent through a project of their choice and wrote speeches, too!

Mrs. Grimm and Miss Wilmoth's classes practiced life skills by using menus to order dinner for themselves and 4 family members. It was fun to watch what they picked for their families!!

Miss Wilmoth's and Mrs. Grimm's classes had a fantastic morning on the nature trail! They used their senses to make observations about what they could see, hear, smell and touch. They also made a colors in nature graph.

4th graders are starting their marble run design challenge. Final designs to be posted next week.
