Live to serve The last line of the FFA Motto, but the most important. All week, United FFA teamed up with United local food pantry, managed by the 8th grade class and supervised by Mr. Burd & Mrs. Groubert. This serves as a service based learning opportunity for the 8th graders. The food pantry serves students grades K—12 with weekend meals who are in need. Currently, there are 46 families that are served breakfast, lunch & Dinner out of the pantry. FFA Members rounded out the final day of FFA Week by serving our community, collecting OVER 1,000 items for our pantry🎉 Thank you to all the staff, faculty, and community members who made this project possible!

Traditions continued at United today as we wrap up National FFA Week with the much anticipated “Drive your Tractor to school day”! A brisk 20 degrees didn’t keep all the open station rigs parked at home either! Agriculture runs deep in our community and our students are proud of that heritage 🚜 💨

The freshman Ag class visited Mrs. Spillman’s 3rd grade class to exchange valentines! Students planted sunflower plants in decorated pots. The 3rd graders also made the high schoolers “Moovolous” cards! Fun was had by all. In a couple weeks, the 3rd graders will visit the ag room to check on their germinating sunflowers! This spring, we are going to plant the flowers in the flower beds for all to enjoy🌻
