Congrats to Maddox Andrea and Landon Jones for being selected to the OSSCA All-State team. Maddox was also recognized as the OSSCA Division 5 Player of the Year (honoring him as the best D5 player in the state). Finally, Head Coach Curtis Jones was recognized as the OSSCA Division 5 Coach of the Year!

Livestock management students chick quest project is in full swing! The chicks are still in their 33 degree Celsius brooder, learning how to use the automatic waters and self feeders.
Students have learned how to properly handle baby chicks, put Individual identification numbers on each chick and have taken starting weights on their control groups.
Students will be recording weights, behavior and animal health on each bird that is apart of their project 2 times per week for 6 weeks. Stay tuned 🐥

Reminder to our Parents and Students:
There will be no school for students due to the General Election tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Our staff members will still attend for a Staff In-Service Day.


Livestock management class, in collaboration with OSU Extensions Chick Quest program & United Local schools 2nd grade classes who hatched these chicks, are raising Cornish cross broilers!
Students will be conducting management trials with 26 birds!
Group 1: studying the impact of bedding type on carcass quality, feed conversion profitability and rate of gain.
Group 2: studying the impact on growth rate comparing 18% & 20% protein crumbles, feed conversion profitability & rate of gain.
On December 11th, the birds will be harvested during a class trip to the processor, and vacuum sealed to be sold as a fundraiser. Stay tuned! 🐥










United Local Middle School and High School report cards will be available via Parent Access after November 8th, 2024. Attention Elementary School, Middle School and High School parents and students:
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, our Elementary students K-4 and MS 5th grade, and High school students 9-12 are allowed to wear costumes.
On Friday, November 1, 2024, our Middle School students grades 6-8 will wear costumes.
