8th grade students did an amazing job on their presentation on the colony of Connecticut!


Students in Agriculture, Food and Natural resources class are currently in the FFA Unit. A big portion of Ag. Ed. Is a year long project that students create, keep records on and learn really world skills in career areas that interests them. Today, they began exploring those options by category! Some ideas include starting a Lawncare business, work for a laboratory testing facility, start an equipment repair business, raise and sell purebred dogs,grow vegetable to donate to food pantries or work at a grain elevator to name a few examples!










Congratulations to Gavin Coffee! He is now certified as an Autodesk Certified User: AutoCAD®. This industry recognized certification earns Gavin 4 points toward his 12-point graduation seal in Engineering. Way to go, Gavin!!!


Congratulations to Justus Lewand! He is now certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist - Word Associate Microsoft 365 Apps! This certification adds 3 points toward his graduation seal in Business. Way to go, Justus!!!

Our Plant & Animal science agriculture students traveled to Columbiana on this perfect day to evaluate soils for agriculture use at the FFA District 3 soil judging Career development event (CDE)! Students determined land slope, soil texture and determined best management practices for the land around the soil pit. We love hands on learning! 🌱

Happy Appreciation Day to our United PTO! We are UNITED in our appreciation for all that you do! Thank you for all of the support that you give to our staff and students. From putting on book fairs, nerf nights, truck or treats, Santa shops, Valentine celebrations, and all of your help with running our Carnival Day last year.


Art 1 students learned about forced perspective. Then in groups students created forced perspective illusions of their own.

Congratulations to senior Addyson Blazer! Each week, Beck’s recognizes high school athletes who demonstrate that they are a Player with Heart. At Beck’s, we are and will remain, Farmers at Heart™. Addyson Blazer was nominated as a Beck’s Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the court. Her favorite part about high school sports is the family aspect within the team and the feeling of having the community behind you. Also representing the community in a positive way. To Addyson agriculture gives her a sense of belonging. Both of her parents were heavily involved in ag, and she has been involved since she first learned to walk. Addyson is involved in Yearbook committee, President of NHS, Principals Advisory Council, 4-H president, Jr. Fair committee, soccer, and basketball. Her future plans are to continue her academic and athletic career and major in mathematic so she can pursue a career in actuary sciences. WHITE OUT FRIDAY: This Friday, our varsity football team takes on Leetonia. Guy Costello is a Leetonia teacher and over the past two years has been Leetonia's head basketball coach . We will join Leetonia in a White Out theme this Friday in support of Coach Costello, who has been diagnosed with ASL, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. We will battle it out on the football field, but we will Unite in support of Coach Costello. Congratulations to senior, Hunter Haus! He is now a Microsoft Office Specialist as a PowerPoint Associate - Microsoft 365 Apps. Hunter is our first student to be certified in Microsoft this year. He has earned another Industry Recognized Credential worth 3 points toward his 12-point gradation seal. Hunter comes to this program with 6 points earned last year, so he now has a total of 9 IRC points. Way to go, Hunter!!!


Students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades attended the Skilled Trades Expo this week. They were given the opportunity to learn more about the trades and engage in hands-on activities.

The High School Art department is asking for pumpkin donations so that art students can paint them for the fall auction to benefit the juniors. If you have pumpkins you are willing to donate, please bring them to door 8 (elementary office entrance) of the school and leave them for the High School Art department by Sept 29.
