
What a great first day for our wrestlers at the state meet! Auston, Dakota and Dallas all got their first day wins and will be continuing on.




OHSAA PARENT/ATHLETE MEETING - MARCH 13
The OHSAA preseason meeting for SPRING SPORTS (grades 7-12) will be taking place this coming Monday, March 13th at 7:00pm. This meeting will take place in the high school auditorium. We hope to see you there as this is a required meeting by the OHSAA for your student to be eligible to compete for our school. If you already attended this meeting for another season this year, you are not required to attend this meeting.


Your state qualifiers have made it to Columbus @The Covelli Center at Ohio State! Good Luck to Dallas, Dakota, and Auston this weekend!!!




WELCOME U.S. AIR FORCE BAND OF FLIGHT!
We had an awesome concert today put on by the Air Force Band of Flight out of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. It was also great to hear about all of the job opportunities available to members of our military, including serving in the capacity as professional musicians while traveling the world to perform.






The State FFA Degree is the State FFA Associations highest honor. Students must be involved FFA Members, great community members and excel in curriculum. This year, United FFA has 4 members who have exhibited the above requirements, earned and productively invested at $2,500 and volunteered at least 25 hours in community service activities. These students also keep meticulous records of their projects throughout the school year and summer. CONGRATULATIONS TO: Maddox French, Olivia Short, Zeb Snyder and Alex Householder, they will be receiving their degree at the 2023 State FFA convention in May





Congratulations to Dallas McCracken on qualifying for the state tournament again with his 4th place finish at districts. Also placing was Logan Casto with his 6th place finish. Congratulations to Tucker Kiko on receiving his 100th career win this weekend. Good Job Eagles!!!




The American FFA Degree is the highest degreed honor in the FFA Organization. Students must have earned and productively invested at least $10,000 in their SAE, volunteered more than 50 hours and been an involved FFA Member. Congratulations to United local schools graduates Cody Cope & Rowen Brinker for being slated to earn this great achievement!



NASTARI SETS ANOTHER RECORD!
Kaleb Nastari won the OATCCC Indoor Division 2/3 800 meter run today with a record breaking time of 1:50.80. Not only is this the new state record, but it is the fastest 800 ever ran in the state of Ohio by any person in any division. Congratulations Kaleb!


Students in Animal Science class began Animal reproduction unit last week. Today, they began learning anatomy and physiology with Bovine (cow) & Swine (pig) female reproductive tracts in class. The focus today was locating specific areas. Tomorrow, students will begin dissecting and labeling interior structures. This lab has helped students learn hands on and see what they've been Learning in class. "Doing to learn, learning to do"




Live to serve
The last line of the FFA Motto, but the most important. All week, United FFA teamed up with United local food pantry, managed by the 8th grade class and supervised by Mr. Burd & Mrs. Groubert. This serves as a service based learning opportunity for the 8th graders. The food pantry serves students grades K—12 with weekend meals who are in need. Currently, there are 46 families that are served breakfast, lunch & Dinner out of the pantry.
FFA Members rounded out the final day of FFA Week by serving our community, collecting OVER 1,000 items for our pantry🎉

Congratulations to Maddox Andrea! He is now certified as a Microsoft Office Basic Excel Specialist! This is Maddox’s second certification this year. Way to go, Maddox!!!


Traditions continued at United today as we wrap up National FFA Week with the much anticipated “Drive your Tractor to school day”! A brisk 20 degrees didn’t keep all the open station rigs parked at home either! Agriculture runs deep in our community and our students are proud of that heritage 🚜 💨











TOMORROW IS ACTIVITY PICTURE DAY for students in grades 6-12! All clubs and groups will be photographed for the yearbook Wednesday, February 22. The Senior group picture will be taken first at 7:40 AM in the high school gym. Please be punctual or a little early! Seniors - wear your class t-shirt or a black t-shirt if you do not have one.


Our Lady Eagles won their Sectional match-up against Southeast with a score of 74-42! Next up - they face Shaker Heights Laurel, Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm, at Lakeview HS for the district semi-finals. All tickets must be purchased online at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets (D3-Northeast 1) Let's pack the house with Eagle fans! GO EAGLES!


4 Eagles Headed to State!
Congratulations Andrew Frase, Kaleb Nastari, Nick Hardgrove and Brayden Ganslein for qualifying for the State indoor track meet today. They qualified in the 4x800 with a time of 8:51.The State meet will be held on March 3. GO EAGLES!


Congratulations to our Varsity Wrestling team on their 3rd straight league title.



Please Join United FFA Chapter as we complete a food drive during National FFA week February 21st through February 24th. Please notice there are specific requested items for United Local Schools Food pantry that serves over 40 families per week. Elementary students have specific items to donate per grade level. If you would like to donate but don't have a student at United, please drop all donations off at the United Ag room!
