8th graders in Mr. Gentry's Intro to Agriculture class are growing right along with their hydroponics projects!
5 weeks ago, students chose seed varieties to plant, learned about hydroponics and planted their seeds. Over the course of the project, teams have been observing their plant growth, journaling their observations and learning about plant science!
In a few days, students will harvest their first crop and get a chance to make salads from their gardens! 🌱 🥬

Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are writing to inform you of a recent change in Google's policies regarding their non-core services, which Google refers to as "additional services." For many years, students have had access to Google's non-core services, such as Google Bookmarks, Chrome Web Store, Google Earth, Google Books, CS First, Google Maps, Google My Maps, Google News, Google Photos, Google Play, Google Translate, Looker Studio, Material Gallery, and YouTube as part of their educational experience. However, school administrators were recently notified by Google that parental consent will now be required for students to continue using these non-core services. Unfortunately, Google has given us a short deadline of March 1, 2025, to comply with this new requirement.
This is a new policy from Google, and we are working quickly to ensure compliance while minimizing disruption to student learning. Please see the included opt-out form at https://5il.co/38wga if you DO NOT want your student to have access to Google's non-core services. However, we strongly encourage you to read the opt-out form in its entirety so that you understand what it means to allow your student to continue using these services. Parent(s)/legal guardian(s) who wish to stop their child from using Google's non-core must complete and return by February 28, 2025. If you would like more information regarding how Google uses this information, you can visit http://policies.google.com/privacy. You and your child can also visit http://myaccount.google.com while signed in to the Google Workspace for Education account to view and manage the personal information and settings of the account.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we navigate this change on short notice.
Sincerely,
Lance Hostetler
Superintendent
