HOMECOMING BASKETBALL GAM E
Please note the change in time for tomorrow's Homecoming basketball game. The varsity game will begin at 6:00 pm. Our court will be recognized with the crowning of king and queen during the haft-time. We will then recognize all our veterans and current military personnel in attendance. Mr. Demster's Freshmen heath classes concluded their semester with a 3D body systems project. Students were given a rubric of 43 bones, muscles and organs to label and represent in 3D form on their lifesize digarams.
FRIDAY - MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT
All Veterans and active members of our military forces will receive FREE ADMISSION to this Friday's home basketball game as we honor them for their service to our country. Our home varsity game will begin at approximately 6:30 pm, and we will recognize our military for their service at half-time. If you know someone serving our who has served, please let them know that they get in free on Friday night when our Golden Eagles take on Wellsville, as we would love to show our appreciation for their service.
Students in 7th Grade Intro to Woodshop wrapped up the 2nd nine weeks by completing a candy dispenser project. This small project allows students to learn about and use many tools that they would use in a high school woodshop class.
Here are important deadlines for the Class of 2023 for the yearbook. All activities/clubs picture day is Feb 22 this includes the Senior group photo at 7:40AM. Senior pictures and baby pictures are due via email in jpeg format to stacey.zines@united.k12.oh.us by March 28. I will's and remember when's can be completed on paper or through a Google Form sent through the student's email by March 28. The United Local Bands grades 7-12 performed the National Anthem for the Youngstown Phantom’s Game tonight! Congrats on a fantastic performance!
Students in Intro to Agriculture class wrapped up their 9 weeks learning about food science! Students participated in 5 stations where they tested their sense of smell, designed packaging for eggs and taste tested different versions of the same foods. Their packaging was tested by a 8 foot dead drop with a egg inside. 3 of the 5 groups packaging protected their eggs!
A big congratulations to the United Local Band soloist that competed at OMEA State Solo/ Ensemble contest on Saturday! Everyone received Superior and Excellent Ratings! United FFA Members had a great time in Columbus at the Ohio FFA Premier leadership conference, Connect/I am. Members enjoyed 2 session this morning, and then had fun bonding with other chapter members at Top Golf and Cabela’s before heading north to United!
