Students in Livestock selection & management are learning about Livestock Identification methods. To put the methods to practice, they made head bands and utilized paper ears to create Pig ear notches and cattle ear tags based on their birthdates. students then went around the class and read their classmates tags and notches and recorded their information based on notch reading and tag information. Mr. Gentry's intro to agriculture 8th grade class wrapped up their food science unit today with a lab that explored all aspects of food science: Food scents, food technology, marketing, product development and food science. Students examined the physical difference of food brands, visual appearances, packaging, tested the durability of their packaging and designed logos! They enjoyed the leftovers after the lab.
