Seniors in United's Building Trades program continue to work on their shed project. These are nearing completion and will be auctioned in early May. Spread the word and stay tuned for auction date & time!

The United 6th Grade Band got to hear the Dana School of Music Saxophone Studio perform today at the Butler Art Museum. They got to see the art at the Butler, along with tour some of the YSU campus. Hopefully some of these kids will be the performers, artists, and YSU students in about 6 more years!

A group of students attended Accounting Career Day at YSU. They enjoyed their day learning about different career paths in the accounting field, and the steps it takes to get there.





United FFA Annual banquet is being held Sunday May 7th, 2023 at the High school. Contact Mr. Gentry if you, your business or place of employment would be interested in sponsoring this years achievement banquet!


Students in Mr. Gentry's 8th grade intro to agriculture class wrapped up their Food Science unit with the "everything food science" lab. Students got to taste test varieties of the same type of food to determine differences in name brand vs. generic, develop new packaging and branding for eggs, test the effectiveness of their packaging, and determine aromas of food flavors.











Congratulations to Brycen Haynes! He is now certified as a Microsoft Office Word Expert Specialist! This is Brycen’s FOURTH certification, which means he has earned a total of 12 Industry Recognized Credential points and a Graduation Seal in Business, Marketing, and Finance. Way to go, Brycen!!!


IMPORTANT YEARBOOK REMINDER FOR SENIORS AND SENIOR PARENTS: Today (3/28) was the deadline for senior pictures, baby pictures, and I will's/remember when's. To date only 11 students out of class have all of these items submitted. Please get those submitted ASAP to stacey.zines@united.k12.oh.us. Any questions can be sent to Mrs. Zines as well.

8th graders in Mr. Gentry's intro to Agriculture class have been learning about Food Science. They recently learned how food is marketed and why it's packaged the way it is. Students were tasked with rebranding or repackaging a common food. Check out some of the prototypes students built! Single served pop tarts, larger handle for syrupy, easier to hold root beer bottle with new label, resealable potato chip bag with built in napkin, rebranded Mountain Dew, and single serve rebranded "Stoffer" Mac n' cheese to showcase a few!
