
DRIVE to LIVE
Thank you to Sergeant Ben Dennison and Patrolman Isaac Garlough of the State Highway Patrol for providing a Drive to Live assembly for our high school students this afternoon. They brough along with them Melissa Wollman and Trew Perkins to tell their stories of loss related to car accidents. Melissa’s son was killed on SR 164 in 2021, and Trew’s sister was killed in 2021 in a separate crash.

The United Concert Band performed at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, OH this morning. The band was directed by Emma Vonfeldt, Tori Firth, Isaac Burke, and Ben Battaglini. The band handed out a Veteran Appreciation letter to all 180 residents that were written by band students 6-12. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with those who answered the call to serve our country!

Congratulations to Damien Little! He is now certified in Autodesk Inventor. This is Damien’s second Autodesk certification this year. Way to go, Damien!!!

The band is traveling to Sandusky tomorrow to perform at the Ohio Veteran’s home. All bands wrote Veteran Appreciation letters that will be presented after the band's performance. Samantha White, Jessica Huston, Lucy Raymond, Allison Conser, and Megan Short won the best written letters in each of their respective band classes. Thank you for sharing your talents with those who have served our great country!



Congratulations to Payne Graybeal! He is now certified in Autodesk Fusion 360. This is Payne’s third certification, which means he has earned a total of 12 Industry Recognized Credential points and a Graduation Seal in Engineering. Way to go, Payne!!!

NHS is sponsoring Battle of the Classes T-Shirts this year. The deadline for the order forms is this Friday, April 21st. The shirts are $15 for XS - XL, and $17 for XXL+. The sheds are not completely done...but will be completed by the time the auction ends on May12th. There will also be Bluebird Boxes and Picnic Tables added to the auction upon completion.

Congratulations Landon Jones for passing the Microsoft Excel Expert Certification Exam today! This is Landon’s FIFTH certification this year. He is the second person in the history of United Local Schools to pass the Microsoft Excel Expert Certification exam. And he didn’t just squeak by; his score was very high. Congratulations Landon Jones!!!


NASTARI CONTINUES TO SET NEW RECORDS!
Kaleb Nastari ran today at the GlenOak Second Sole Elite track meet. He came in first in the 1600m run with a new school record time of 4:14.64. Kaleb then won the 800m run with a meet and stadium record time of 1:52.77.

A big congratulations to the United Local Junior High Band soloist that competed at OMEA State Solo/ Ensemble contest this morning! Everyone received Superior and Excellent Ratings! Atlee Brinker, Brittany Miller, Caroline Moser, and Katherine Wolfgang (Superior Trumpet Quartet). Chloe Angelo (Superior Xylophone Solo), Isaiah Conway (Superior Piano/ Baritone Solos), Sydney Thompson (Superior Trumpet Solo), Gavin Coffee (Excellent Alto and Tenor Saxophone Solos), Haylee Rininger (Excellent Flute Solo), and Mckenzie Cope (Excellent Flute Solo).
