Mr. Gentry’s 6th grade Career exploration class has been learning all about communication this week. Today, students learned the importance of non-verbal communication and did an activity where the practiced using different body language to act out a specific emotion or feeling like impatience, happiness, nervousness, etc. The students then discussed why this is important in careers and when in public. United has some great actors and actresses!

HS DOOR DECORATING WINNERS REVEALED!
We had a total of 664 votes cast for our high school door decorating contest this year. Votes came in from students, staff, and also from our Facebook community. Votes were cast for each of the three superlative categories: Originalest (most original), Humorest (most funny), and Festivest (most festive). Twenty-three doors in total participated in the contest.
Congratulations to the three teachers and the students who helped them decorate their doors for our annual door decorating contest. Taking the trophy for the Originalest was Mrs. Cooper. The Festivest award went to Mrs. Mercer. And, Mrs. Clunen got the most votes for the Humorest trophy.
